This setup information assumes that you have just unzipped the original
SWIMDB12.ZIP file and now have the following files:
READ.ME Important last-minute information.
INSTALL.DOC Installation instructions.
PACKING.LST This text file.
SHR-WARE.DOC Information about Shareware and the ASP.
VENDOR.DOC Information and restrictions for disk vendors,
distributors, user groups, and more.
SYSOP.DOC Information for Bulletin Board System
distribution.
DESCRIBE.DOC Sample descriptions for catalogs, BBSs, etc.
WARRANTY.DOC Important Warranty Information
LICENSE.DOC Important License and Usage Information
REGISTER.DOC Registration information and order form.
SWIM.EXE Main SwimBase Program file

Now refer to the section that best describes your hardware setup to
complete the setup of SwimBase.
HARD DISK SETUP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Create a new directory
MKDIR C:\SWIMDATA
Both the drive letter and directory name can be anything you are
comfortable with.
2) Make the new directory the current directory
CD C:\SWIMDATA
3) Copy the program files (SWIM.EXE and FVIEW.EXE) to this directory.
COPY SWIM.EXE
COPY FVIEW.EXE
4) You can start SwimBase at this point.
SWIM
5) Refer to the INSTALL.DOC file and SWIMBASE.DOC file for more information
about the program setup. The document files do not need to remain on
your disk.
DUAL FLOPPY SETUP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Obtain 2 blank, formatted floppy disks. Label 1 PROGRAM and 1 DATA.
2) Place the program disk in one drive and copy the program files to
this disk (SWIM.EXE and FVIEW.EXE).
3) You can start the program be placing the program disk in one drive and
the data disk in the other drive and then typing SWIM.
4) Refer to INSTALL.DOC for further information on the dual floppy setup.
SINGLE FLOPPY SETUP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) This requires a floppy with a minimum capacity of 720,000 bytes.
2) Obtain a blank, formatted floppy, label it SWIM PROGRAM.
3) Copy the program files, SWIM.EXE and FVIEW.EXE, to this floppy.
4) You can start the program be placing the program disk in the drive and
then typing SWIM.
5) Refer to INSTALL.DOC for further information on the single floppy setup.
